I’ll still do stuff outside down to about -30C, but beyond that, its just between my car and buildings.

To split hairs with you, we get our ponies down to 228K (-45C) here in Fairbanks Alaska.
20% colder would be 182K (-91C)
Lowest recorded temp on earth was -89C (Antarctica), but nobody is going outside anywhere near that temperature.
Well anyway, I think it’s just a very old sign that nobody cares to change.
Anyway this is at least 20% cooler than any pony seen so far… and for a good damn reason! XD
FUN FACT (well, not exactly fun, if you have read Scott’s log): Scott tried to reach to South Pole using ponies. As we all know, it didn’t go well and they were forced to eat all the ponies to survive.
Amundsen, being Norwegian and all, already knew that dogs were the right choice.
Yep, even here in the US, official research is usually done with the metric system as it is kind of a universal systems of measurements. I don’t know why they just can’t be “bilingual” about it and list both feet and meters on the sign especially considering many of the people who go there are not American. Then again that would mean having to have the words on the sign in a dozen or so different languages. Then again maybe the people there were just too cold to care what the sign says.
And that’s even worse, because it’s a research station!
It’s an American research station, so…
It’s in the middle of a continent. A continent without rivers, so don’t expect plains.
But if there’s something that bugs me to no end, it’s that they used feet instead of meters ಠ_ಠ
