No see sandbar is actilly cool. Flash isn’t.
Flash does have flaws and an arc; you just don’t like ‘em. We literally see him act differently in the third movie, mad in the shorts and even depressed. It’s like with Sandbar. Simple isn’t bad; it’s just that people seem to think characters need to be sadboys with 300 pages of wangs to be interesting. He isn’t even simple; he shows more range than most males on the original show—but ‘cause he’s Flash, it doesn’t count.
We can safely say the only reason he didn’t do that in the movie is because he didn’t have the glasses ready.
Oh wow lil nothing moments that still show he has no chemistry with her…really showed me? Also doesn’t make disprove the whole “went after her when twi was off the table” thing.
It gives her conflict, personality, life. You can put her in synarios and have her bonce of characters and the like for entertaining interaction and sitchuations and arcs for her character. Flash has nothing. He is nice guy who plays guitar in the first movie and in the last he is nice guy that plays guitar…that’s it.

Face it: Flash could turn Super Saiyan and blast a hole into the sun, and no one would care because pony!Twilight likes him and not the other Mane 6/their OC, end of story. He does have a personality and he quite obviously has flaws and even an arc; it’s just that he doesn’t have one bronies like because he’s not written for bronies.

He a lil goofy silly guy but also he has a reason to be in the movie, his family were the ones running the camp, he was the red haring for the mystery and he also helps his sister run the camp, we even see him try and take an ax to the vine walls his sister put, it’s nothing much but it’s more then flash
Not only was Timber goofy, but he was also a dork. The guy told terrible jokes and pickup lines, and Legend of Everfree made it aware that the stuff he says is cheesy based on the reactions he gets from Gloriosa and Sci-Twi. Even he knows that he says stupid stuff. This allows you to find him likable because he has no problem with being silly or being the butt of a joke. Not only does that give him charm, but it easily gives him more personality than Flash has had in the last three movies.

Not as funny as Spongebob? Thank goodness! You do know that he’s supposed to be a total loser, right? Like, that’s the joke?
Fans hated him even before he spoke word (even gave him a nickname), and it was for incredibly stupid reasons that had nothing at all to do with Flash; it was because they had shipped Twilight with women, and it broke their brains. Flash never had a chance, especially since he was a genuinely good guy and not a super awesome abusive nerd OC.
Which Flash was OK with and he still helped Twilight despite it not helping him “win” the girl. This isn’t a “who is better” thing, but a “why bronies hate an actual good person;” they want their OC who eats puppies but has a good heart to be Twilight’s boyfriend instead, and it’s so obvious. Well, that, or a girl.
Shorts are canon, though.

That’s because the writers didn’t give him a chance when they should have in the first place

So your point is that romantic love should only ever come conditionally, meaning that unless you’re convenient like in battle for example, then you don’t deserve to be loved. That’s pretty sad, and just flat out wrong. Timber doesn’t have to prove himself like Sci-Twi is some kind of prize he has to win. They hit it off because they had mutual interests and enjoyed each other’s company, and that led to them developing a romantic relationship they wanted to have.

Did u miss the part where flash threw himself to help the girls out in cheer you on? That scratches he received proves hes more chivalrous, cooler and better than timber ever will be and has done alot more than what timber did. All timber did was pick up and axe and tried to cut the vine to no avail. This wouldn’t have happened if timber just told the girls what was happening to his sister. That makes him a terrible character and not the perfect choice for sci twi
Are you forgetting timber took an ax to gloriosa’s vine wall? That alone makes him way cooler and helped more then flash ever did.

All I ever saw Flash was just as a flat nice guy who plays a guitar and nothing else. I’m not sure how using the word “Chivalry” is gonna make him look more interesting because it doesn’t.
