Artist’s comment:

she just got her hooves did and delights in showing it to everypony. I spent close to 6 hours on this in total from blank canvas to finished piece. The sketch came out really quick (referenced a scene in tyt except i changed the angle of her hooves a little). The thing that held me up was in the lining stage where i foolishly used a sketching brush with pen-pressure varying opacity to do the lines. Ran into a lot of trouble when colouring because the base colour would mix with the line colour and make it look super messy. Lesson learned to use a full opacity brush to do the lines. Otherwise, i had a really fun time colouring and shading her. Experimented around with different saturation and lightness values to give the shiny look on her hooves and tiara. Learning how to use the mixing brush more to blend the colours on her iris as well as her mane. I find it gives better results than simply using an airbrush to do shading. Overall really proud with how this turned out!!
