That was the day the show died for me, not S3. And the comics just made it hurt worse.  
And with how badly SAYS went, the mediocre quality of Games, and now this travesty, yeah my opinion of how the second half of MMC goes down is dreadfully low.  
I pretty much hate not only these episodes but the entire change in direction of the show. It no longer gives me that happy giddy feel, and it no longer entertains me. There was a little spark(le) from TMPP up to Sleepless, but as to the rest, fuck the show and fuck DHX, seriously. Executive meddling can only explain so much of the dip. I’d wager that the forced sets and changes from above damaged their creative cycles, and now they are unwilling to add things they haven’t been told to add, or construct episodes only from what pieces they are given. (Also the stars thing in AFF royally pissed me off too.)
 
Hell, if you ever went to ponychan around ACW, I actually got banned there simply due to the sheer amount of bitchery I did over it. I couldn’t comprehend how they excused such shitty writing over OMG LE SEXXI SUKKUBUS OMG LEL EPIK FIGHT, and we had some major battles dawg, if you look up bboifatz’ posts about Equestria Girls, that was how I was this same time last year. It was so freakin’ horrible I couldn’t even finish it when it aired. It took me 3-5 minutes a day over the next week to slog through to the end.  
But alas, I bought into the whole ‘put your faith in the crew,’ and what happens? Half a season, and HALF OF THAT WAS PURE DREK, CHUMMER. So yes, I mad. I very mad.

Your asking for a little much there dude. The Season 4 opener will tie directly into Magical Mystery Cure. I still think you should give the crew at DHX a chance.

I doubt it. I have a tendancy to never forgive something once it’s been ruined. I never forgave Nintendo for the N64-Gamecube transition and a few other things they did back then. I haven’t owned anything Nintendo since, and I hope they fail with every passing generation. I never forgave EA for running off Mike Posehn back in 1996. I never forgave Disney for Goliath Chronicles. EqG is FiM’s Goliath Chronicles, even. (Though my faith was already waning after A Canterlot Wedding, an episode I still hate more than any other save SAYS and still have never rewatched since its airing.) If the next premiere isn’t as amazing as Return of Harmony I will basically be staying only for the fandom.

Anyway, I just watched a bit of Equestria Girls on YouTube, and aside from the cheesy. unnecessary romantic sub-plot, I’d say it fits in with Friendship is Magic quite well.
 
Would I pay $10 to see it in theaters? No.
 
Would I watch it again? Yes.

I know I probably shouldn’t waste my time on a pathetic Background Pony such as yourself, but trust me I’m perfectly capable of handling the thought of people hating EQG.
 
I hated Equestria Girls when it was just a rumor. But, I haven’t seen a single “ruined forever” comment or image since the movie’s release, so either people are realizing that DHX is capable of producing something halfway decent, or they just don’t give a shit.
 
Given the track record of this fandom, I sincerely doubt it’s the latter.
