EQG is literally the product of a forced thing that nobody gives a shit about.
Then again, I had only ever heard of Transformers through Transformers Armada (and Energon + Cybertron) so Bayformers still beats EQG anyday on WOW FACTOR but otherwise neither are good movies at all tbh.
The movie was filmed with three alternate endings; there were “clues” scattered throughout the first 95% of the movie that could point to one of the three endings. When Clue was shown in theaters, each theater would get one of the three endings. Once it was put out on home video, though, all three endings were included, with the first two explained away as possible solutions to the mystery.
Which, considering the movie was more of a farce than an actual mystery, was all rather unnecessary.
care to elaborate?
get real
I think after I saw the first Bayformers movie, my reaction started off as greatly annoyed and finished as, “Well, that wasn’t that bad!” Talking about 2 and 3 just annoyed me even more. I’m surprised they’re making a fourth one. Really?
Having watched Equestria Girls, the movie left me smiling and laughing. People in the theater actually clapped at the end. There were a few bits that annoyed me and could have done better, but overall it was a fun romp.
Since it was made in Flash as a direct-to-dvd movie on a shoestring budget, Equestria Girls is also probably the CHEAPEST Hasbro movie ever made (with the possible exception of one of the other MLP movies).
It was mixed. More of an experimental film since there were three endings.
@Itsthinking
DAMMIT! All right, fine, OP’s point stands. If EqG isn’t the best movie based on a franchise owned by Hasbro at the time of release, then it’s definitely in the top three.
Not well received? I thought it was good.
Doesn’t count. Hasbro didn’t own Parker Brothers until 1991 and Waddingtons until 1994. The movie came out in 1985.
It also was not well received.
No.
Every Bison dollar will be worth five “Clue” cards, for that is the exchange rate Mister Body will set after I have abducted Colonel Mustard.
Yeah, yeah, I know.
Judges, we’re gonna need a ruling here. Does the movie Clue count?
Cluedo, aka Clue, was not a Hasbro property at the time the movie was made. OP’s argument stands.
Battleship had a cooler climax, the Elements of Harmony are cool but sending the Mighty Mo back into battle was amazing.
OF COURSE!
That Just leaves the G1 Transformers movie and the first GI Joe Live-Action movie as potential rivals for “best Hasbro movie”.
Good odds for EqG, if you ask me.
That’s an entirely negative perspective you know. Look at Raul Julia’s last role:
Was it beneath him? Yes.
Did he give a completely awesome performance anyway? YES!
