Quick Majora’s Mask Opinion
Honestley…. I think that Majora>Discord
Discord’s a bit too soft and I honestly don’t think he’d go as far as attempting genocide.
Majora on the other hand was actually able to do so (if you fail) and do it in a way where the entire world feared him/her.
In other words: I think Majora is too corrupted to be taken down even by the EoH.
BTW: Majora’s Mask is my favorite LoZ game.

what if Majora was corrupted by The Nightmare and that’s what drove Majora insane?
It seems implied in the game that the spirit of the mask is insane. Past Zelda villains like Ganon only destroy, and cause misery to get what they want, or for their own selfish desires. Majora seems to do it only for “fun,” as it has nothing to gain from it.
I just got Majora’s Mask in Animal Crossing: New Leaf today. I like how it has like a creepy shadow on it.

But it already has four parts. That middle bit that’s missing. That represents the Fierce Deity.
But then it wouldn’t really be a tri force anymore if there was a fourth part of it.
You do remember Nightmare Moon, right? Eternal night is a just a slower, arguably more evil form of moon-enabled omnicide. After all, the world is dying not through something so simple as planetary impact, but through starvation, hypothermia, and a general sense of crushing despair. The Elements worked just fine on her, so methinks your argument needs work.
Luna would be able to halt the moon’s descent, but she wouldn’t be able to return the moon to it’s original orbit until Majora is put out of commission. And since they lack the fierce deity mask, they’d likely need a giant robot to do that.
