I think that’s just part of the humor about her character.

That’s different. Her speech patterns are endearing rather than grating, and her phrases are contextually correct.  
Marine speaks like she learned her accent by watching a Crocodile Dundee movie once.

Well, blame the localizers of the game then. The reason she speaks with an accent (or at least implied by her text) is because in Japan she also speaks with a regional Japanese “kansai” accent. Which usually when characters do that in say Japanese animes, and such they usually “localize/translate” it as either a southern, or Australian accent.
 
I mean, I’m from Texas, but I don’t complain over Bunnie Rabbot (a character in the Sonic comics, and old TV show) speaking all stereotypically “Texan,” using outdated southern slang terms nobody uses anymore, and such.

It’s just that, as an Australian, I really hate it when a character fakes an Australian accent poorly, even in text. She uses idioms incorrectly, uses jargon where vernacular would be more suited and she has a tendency to butcher her colloquialisms flat out like a lizard drinking.

Considering she doesn’t even have a voice (and only speaks in text in the “Sonic Rush Adventure” game) I don’t really get why that bothers people so much… Strewth.
 
I thought she was kinda a funny character personally.

My main complaint was the terrible Australian accent she uses. Bah.

I actually thought Marine was a decent character, personally.
 
It was amusing to see her carry herself around like she’s the boss when she was really just a nuisance to Sonic and Blaze.

Also don’t even know if she was anything more than a side character though that could describe like 85% of Sonic characters

Marine’s accent is fake.

I actually have the issue that moment comes from. We need more issues with Marine getting on Shadow’s nerves.
