The truth is, 4chan has almost always consisted of newfaggotry. Whether you take into account the original refugees of SomethingAwful, the backwash from Habbo Hotel, GaiaOnline, and Tumblr raids, or the ignorant stooges curious about the mysterious legion of hackers on steroids these “secret sites” harbored, there have always been newfags, and there will always be newfags. And while the words we use to troll each other will change, it’ll still be the same old song and dance to outside observers, an endless waltz of shitposting to the tune of Drowning Pool’s Let The Bodies Hit The Floor.

At any rate, 4chan has a lot of rules and probably hands out several hundred bans a day all told. There are things you’re not allowed to post and things you’re only supposed to post in specific boards and things that the janitors don’t like and an age limit and so on and so forth. What they don’t care about is your feelings, so as long as you’re an arsehole about the right thing on the right board, you’re golden (although even 4chan has at times just banned people for being constant shitposters).
