The reasoning is simple: My family has a DVD recorder, so (if we had the Hub) I’m essentially cutting out the steps of buying a blank DVD, recording the movie myself, ripping it from the new DVD, and, finally, editing out the commercials.
…Or I’ll buy the actual DVD, but I’d like to be able to watch it on my computer along with the episode I feel like watching that day.

You’re right, I’m buying an airplane ticket to United States right now so I could go watch this movie legally with a crowd of guys creeping little girls out with their cheering and chanting.
If you want to see it, see it LEGIT.
It’s not too bad, and it’s hard to beat a movie theatre filled with local bronies.
Is there any point to it being HD when 8/9ths of the screen is black for all but ten minutes of the movie?
I mean, it looks good and kudos for that, but why not try to crop/edit it or something?
