:p
Yeah, but it still felt like the Nightmare Moon arc.
Well, the movie was good and all. It just needed to be longer so it could flesh itself out better. (Quite a few of the subplots seem like they would have bee much stronger had they been given time.)
Maybe 15-30 extra minutes.
In “The Crystal Empire”, Twilight wanted to do everything herself because Celestia told her that she needed to do it herself. Which was one of my major problems with that two-parter, actually, but not one that I’d blame Twilight for.
I like to think a secondary objective of the movie was to get some of Twilight’s fans back.
UGH! It’s bad enough Twilight has the most stupid moments in the show, but now she’s being thrown into ‘I have to do this by myself’ situations. Yes, Spike’s there, but he joined on his own terms.
I get Celestia wants to train her, but geez lady. You fought demons and whatnot, stop sending your student for everything. (If you mention Chrysalis in this situation, I will end you.)
(Also, Crystal Empire, Twilight acted more like her pre-series self, what with her wanting to do everything by herself.
At least this movie does that tidbit better, though again, Celestia brushes them aside.)
Because the others aren’t selling toys.
Not really. Celestia just seems to want to test Twilight….and kind of disses the other elements.
Actually, this whole problem would have been averted if Celestia just sent in a few trained guards
scene
guards march into the school
guards take crown and then go back
Scene end
Why is Twilight constantly alone on things nowadays?
Reality balance, or some crap.
Nope, we gotta send Twilight all by herself….(What is with that? First the Crystal Empire and now this movie. Is Twilight drifting off from her friends, or are the adventure arks just going to focus solely on Twilight and have the other elements have little to no effect on the outcome of said adventure.)
