Fair enough, but it’s a quick source of numbers that seems like it should bear a close enough relationship to the mindset of the fandom in general to provide a rough idea of the popularity of ships relative to each other. If there’s a better source of data, I’m all ears.

Ah. In that case I think you may have missed where it says hetero ships, then. If it were AJ’s ships in general, the two big Rs (Rarity and Rainbow Dash) would almost certainly get top billing over Spike and Big Mac. I’m pretty sure you’d have seen those around.

But, firstly, artists and their commissioners are not the only shippers in the fandom, nor do their opinions represent the opinions of the majority of the remainder of the fandom.  
Secondly, I was actually referring to PinkieJack.  
(PS I know that the official tag for that ship is “ApplePie”, but I’m not fond of that ship name, ’cause it could be applied to a ship between almost any two members of their families.)  
PPS On Derpibooru, if you’re linking to something that’s also on Derpibooru, you can just omit everything up to the “.org” and the link will still work fine.

Nope. Checking the tag counts, not only does Soarin’ beat him, but third place is actually Caramel, of all ponies. And that’s assuming you don’t count R63 ships, otherwise Rainbow Blitz jumps in ahead too.

What about Braeburn? He gets shipped with AJ way less, by an order of magnitude. Bronze seems to be Soarin’s from what I can tell.
 
And if she doesn’t want to be shipped with her brother, I doubt her cousin would be much better. (Unless it was a really distant cousin, but her really distant cousins are the Pie sisters, so it wouldn’t result a straight ship anyhow.)

Eeeh, Spike acts like a child and is treated as Twilight’s kid brother by all the other characters. Unless you’re going to do some time skip kind of stuff (and even then…), any ship with the mane 6 and Spike is going to be kind of creepy.

It only gets unavoidably weird if you ship Spike with Twilight.

well, to be fair, spike’s only a few years younger than twilight. give it a few years and it’s not all that weird, except for the dragon genitalia.

Well the age of the main 6 was never stated, same for spike, the whole thing was left rather vague, plus since spike has the ability to age up naturally, surely such a thing could be artificially induced as well? And, again, for all we now the applejack could be 15 and spike could 13, so…. Of course nothing is confirmed either way… Though, of course, my other point still stands, also, I know that spike has been referred to in the show as a “baby dragon” however not much is known about dragon biology, so it is possibly that twilight could be mistaken about spike’s actual age

EVERYONES most common strait ships are with a baby dragon or your brother.

Where it’s kind of not fair for OCs not being able to be paired up with due to the fandom’s strictness on OCs.

The pattern is: You have a strange liking for a white pony bitch being loved, and also you like underage pairings.

There are 2-3 AppleMac Stories out there that are not Incest. But i have to say… not many of the straight ships with her and known Characters are good. AJxSpike would mostly be illegal because he is too young. AJxSoarin never really met (except for the 15 sec where he bought a pie and made a stupid joke). AJ dosent seem to like or notice Caramel except when he mess up something. And he, since we didnt hear anything else, still seems to have a girlfriend anyways. Dont best Straight Ships i read with AJ were the OC Stories.
