If only Americans were the only population with a majority of idiots… They’re the ones most commonly shown in the media and all, but I assure you you’re far from being the worst. I have nothing against the imperial system, I’m even getting used to it in fact, but as it’s already been stated, it’s awful to convert and is counterintuitive overall.

The main issue with the whole imerial/metric thing is if you grew up with one system, the other system is utterly meaningless to you.  
(And the fact that imperial units, while very nice if you’re used to them for measuring everyday items, are awful as a system not only because feet to miles is a weird hard to remember number of 5000-something, there’s nothing in between them besides 3 feet to a yard and pretty much nothing besides fabric and American football uses yards)

Twelve inches to a foot. Three feet to a yard. Some completely random number in the thousands of yards to a mile. It just makes no sense.  
However, a system that can be broken down into individual units of ten is much more intuitive.

Blimey, this hiatus is either making ponies crazier than normal or… Well, this seems like normal hiatus crazy to me. I’m not completely sure though ’cause my only gauge was Summer ’12 as Summer ’11 was relatively short. (Plus, Faust left right before I joined, so I entered right in the middle of the first llama outbreak. <_< )

Mixed up my units. Stupid ’MURRICAN me. I meant 60 cm for Spike seems reasonable when an adult mare like the Mane Six are around 90 cm.

23 inches seemed really short for Spike, but then I remembered the show has “little” in the title and ponies are generally regarded to be 20 or 30 centimeters taller than that…

I’m more impressed he got the thing to stay upright.

To me it was always funny that the ‘hard’ thing they asked him to do was pile up rocks. That’s what dragons do. So it didn’t surprise me at all that he didn’t just succeed, but also seemed to have a natural talent for it. That’s because he does.

Dragons are inherently magical creatures.

Well he is a dragon after all.

He must lift.

He also had the talent, ability and patience for counting 24,567,837 blades of grass.
