I’ve seen a lot of comments about how S1 animation is cuter or w/e. But really, there are so many more gif-able moments per episode in S2 and S3.

But she uses magic to read books almost all the time in season 1 too. This scene is a rare exception (outside of Winter Wrap Up and Bridle Gossip, where she won’t or can’t use it).

Not to be “That Guy harping on about how much better season 1 was and everything after is terrible.”, but if this was any other season, she’d be using magic to open the book rather than use a cute horsy method to open it.
