I think Dash just has a really big mortgage from the the Equestria Federal Credit Union. Her stable government job gives her a good line of credit but she’ll be paying thaqt thing off until she retires.

I just always thought that cloud houses were kinda variable since the material to make them would be cheaper (cloud) and you could mold it to look how you wanted a lot easier than wood

Well, clouds that don’t dissipate when you kick them are much more expensive than most building materials.  
Still, Weather Pegasi don’t have a union, so most of that must be inherited.

I just realise how little place they have after their working needs except for RD. I suppose RD with her clouds control ability just built it herself thinking it need to be 20% larger once or twice.

Rarity’s house is a place of business. Most of the area seems to be taken up by a showroom. She doesn’t seem to particularly have lots of room for herself.

Not that much bigger. The balloon is off scale and not a good reference.
 
Stick with the door as a size reference and treat the cloud overhangs to small to live in as the equivalent of pegasus trees and bushes.
 
After that they are much closer in size with Rainbow Dash’s house being taller and Rarities being wider at the base and similar width at the top.
