Tell Christian moms that.
There’s already complaints about sexulization Strange, considering these dolls are probably one of most modest teen doll things on the market.
You’d have people complaining about the sexualization of toys, then. You can’t please anyone when you make toys, so you stop caring about the voices that don’t spend the most money, I guess.
Never said you did.
Yeah, I think fashion is a personal choice that has a very manipulative industry behind it.
@sargesprinkles
I know. Most of us aren’t fans of MLP because of the toys…
I think giving the dolls some hips would at least be a little better then a perfect Barbie physique, but I can see where you’re coming from.
The only thing I ask is why these toys are such a surprise to some people
Ah, I thought you were saying being fashionable is banal. It was a misinterpretation. What I was trying to say is that some people like feeling fashionable because it makes them feel better. It was pretty poorly worded, sorry.
Hey, they managed to get their own site to run. And I don’t see them stopping.
Can’t really say how it affects you personally, but I spoke of the industry. All of these companies treat fashion like it matters more than what’s on the inside. Unless, like I said, they think that they can make money from claiming to care.
@And Brother I Hurt People
And it will remain fashionable until people realize that the dolls are skinny because plastic is expensive, not because of some vast conspiracy.
As far far awy as Uncle Haz permits them. Which is like almost no where.
That works too.
that is the biggest issue of this company
poor communications
@Da_Krager
The merch and entertainment divisions are so separated and communicate with each other so poorly that they’re almost like two separate companies. In fact, the entertainment division actively tries to distance itself from the merch one as much as they can.
Feeling fashionable makes me feel better. It’s not entirely banal.
Oi, give a little more credit. When I was a kid, the big thing with girls was “kick-the-barbie”. It’s pretty much exactly what it sounds like.
now that is a stereotype
but this product does enforce that stereotype
Fashion is a banal industry. You’re expecting an industry where the entire point is to focus entirely on making people look good only on the outside to have any moral fiber (unless it is of course to their benefit) at all?
i don’t think it is malicious, i just think they don’t know how to be a merch company and an entertainment company
where is the surprise?
