This …this actually makes sense , with the rest of your art involving diversity and that crap,I usually try to find something to piss me off ,but with this I can’t find anything wrong ,it fits .NIce interpretation of Afro- Eurasia too but….WHAT ABoUt AMERICA!

Alicorns would represent deities, or rather divine archetypes universal in all sentient cultures. Celestia is the archetype for the heavenly lord (Zeus, Elagabal, Tengri, etc.), Cadence the fertility goddess (Ishtar, Venus, Anahita, etc.), and so on.
 
Even monotheistic religions (which all worship Fausticorn in my headcanon) would still preserve the archetypes in the form of saint-worship. I wouldn’t be surprised if the pony version of Jungian psychoanalysis included alicorn archetypes.

To note, the Iberian peninsula has mythos on winged unicorns, specifically “El Alicornio”, thought the wings were on the legs.
