It’s because FOX is basically MacFarlane’s bitch.

At least when Matt Groening made another show, it was completely different from the other. Seth MacFarlene has literally made the same show three goddamn times.

Yup, even The Simpsons actually follows it. Homer is a lovable idiot, he is married to Marge who is an hot wife, Bart is not much of a loser in personality but still has bad grades, Lisa acts somewhat snarky and can seem to dislike Homer sometimes, for all we know Maggie is a sadist, and their pets do not talk but there are still friendly animals in the series.
 
Futurama is not even about a family, but a crew of a spaceship and they bring goods to aliens. And the redhead guy from the past is his own grandfather.

Have you noticed the animated sitcoms that don’t follow this “Seth Macfarlane” formula tend to get cancelled?

Surprisingly accurate, though I personally I hate ’em.

I love how she uses “love” in past tense.

American Dad is actually pretty awesome. The others… not quite so much.
