small world man. born at Methodist Medical center in Dallas as well. but i can’t say i’m a big fan of baseball which pisses of a lot of folks around here considering how huge the cards are around here. and the same falls for basketball. i do like watching the collage temas play though and i like rooting for da badgers when i’m not rooting for Iowa state, GO Cyclones. also that don’t make sense making you root for Chicago and Minnesota teams but some people never change i guess

Well, as you can guess, I’m from Wisconsin, so I love my Packers, Brewers and (don’t laugh) my Bucks as well. With the Blues and Stars, I like the Blues since they seem to be consistently competitive, yet for some reason they fall short each year, and despite this, they don’t get much attention for it. The Stars love comes from the fact that I was born an hour north of Dallas, though I only lived there until I was 4. People will ask me why I don’t root for the Blackhawks or Wild, then I tell them that it’d be like rooting for the Bears/Cubs or the Vikings respectively. I just can’t do it.

growing up in Iowa we didn’t have any professional teams to follow and i’ve always been a big football fan. hell i used to be a NT in highschool. i became a hockey fan around 10 years ago when we moved to missouri so papi can be closer to St.louis where he does a lot of work. when doing a job and he gave him some tickets to the game. it was December 26 of the 99-00 season vs the preds.  
we lost 3-2 but man it was awesome.  
as for the stars i have a grudging respect for them, it’s also the only Dallas team i’ll respect too

Agreed. I’ve never been one for bandwagoning. One of my friends was a Flames fan, then a Ducks fan, then it was Canucks, now it’s Penguins. (I’m from Saskatchewan too though and not having a team of our own there’s always a lot of bandwagoners) I imagine it’s gotta take a lot of the actual joy away when your team is actually doing good if you aren’t there for the bad times as well. I agree as well though that we both have really good chances coming up here. However even if it takes another 50 years I’ll be there every heartbreaking step of the way, haha. (Luckily in my video game world however, the Leafs win the cup pretty well every year haha)

don’t get me wrong I’d love for the bluesand the leafs too of course, love to you brother. but i don’t need a Stanley to keep me as a fan. because a true fan never gives up on his team, even if they never taste the championship.  
plus the way our teams are looking i’m sure one of us will have barging rights by the end of this decade

Ooo, yeah you definitely know the feeling then. 45 years without a cup for both of our teams(luckily I missed out on half of that waiting on account of not being born yet, haha). Hang in there, it’s comin! I’m there for ya man!!

don’t worry man i know that I’m a blues fan. i’m used to seeing them make it to the playoffs only to get shut-out. that and trade our big name players to other teams only to have them then win the Stanley cup. don’t worry i’m just going to cry now ;_;
