My God Twilight will be able to do tricks that RD could only dream of.
Winking does have advantages, especially when it comes to evasion. She’s not a speedster like Dash, after all.
Given that she was capable of auto-levitation before getting her wings, whether actually using her wings for flight is easier is a valid question.
Given how casual pegasus flight is compared to levitation rarely being casual for most unicorns, I’m going to guess wings are easier, but I could be wrong.
With all the options it makes me wonder if she’ll ever use the teleportation spell ever again (or her bloody wings for that matter).
The Twinkling Balloon seems pretty classy to me. It’s hardly some broken down wreck.
Besides, she’s a princess. She can have all the vehicles that she wants. One for casual travel and one for formal affairs is pretty reasonable.

Maybe she’ll get a carriage of her own? Leaving her with a balloon is like having her drive an old Honda Civic. She needs to maintain a level of class here.
Well, Princess Celestia still travels by pegasus pony carriage, so there’s precedent for flyers using flying machines.
Besides, sometimes the non-flying Manes need a ride.
