Good thing they don’t have tumblr in the MLP universe. Luna would be hammered with “cultural appropriation” messages. She looks beautiful though and it is good to see her happy.

I think Luna is wearing the hanfu, which were the official attire worn by Chinese through all history before the Qing Dynasty replaced them with their Qipao dress we’re more familiar with.
 
In fact, the Japanese kimono evolved from the Chinese hanfu.

Here’s the figurine I mentioned earlier. Apparently Reaper calls it a “Storm Steed,” but it’s a bat pony (or horse, whatever).

The other day I was at the fa/tg/uy store and I saw that Reaper had made bat horse tabletop mini. Bat ponies are indeed a legit fantasy race and not pegasi wearing costumes, though they do appear to be far fewer in number than the main three races (possibly due to being nocturnal).
