At least some of the more prolific ones at any rate. Pia-sama in particular comes to mind.
I see. Some of the biggest Sparity shippers seem to be female. Carnifex I know is one of the big male ones, though.
The writer is a girl actually, though that’s a common enough mistake to make on the internet. At any rate, Spike is the exact same age in everyone of these pictures.
I can never find the time to read fanfics, but I know the author is very pro-Sparity. I read his other well-known piece.
Yeah, that’s not an age thing though. It has more to do with how dragons growth through various emotions and the like. Explaining it better would be a bit of a spoiler, and given Paleowriter is a fairly good writer I’d hate to do that.
Speaking of which, he needs to lose some of that baby fat unless he wants to be the dragon version of Scootaloo.
No, he’s the same age as he is in the show. Any age difference is frankly miniscule and really shouldn’t classify for ‘older’. Of course, it really doesn’t matter, but Spike’s relative age was important to teh story so I don’t think it should be there.
He’s very slightly older in some of the sketches, isn’t he? Not by much, but still.
Yeah, its gotten to the point where I just ignore most of teh nonsense people spew about this, I just thought this particular case was funny since it showed a clear lack of any knowledge of context for this picture. Actually, now that I think about it, I don’t know why the older tag is even on this picture so I’m going to remove it.
Won’t even go any further with debate, but I kind of do see you saying that this ship gets a lot of that.
Its actually kind of humorous because the story this is based on, and thusly the picture, didn’t age Spike up any, which was kind of the point.
But yeah, it always amused me that people can feel fully justify bitching in every Sparity picture about how their headcanon amkes the ship unworkable but doing it in almost any other ship is frowned upon.

Look, I like Sparity. Sparity can be really cute. But the ship is fundamentally flawed.
They said Discord doesn’t help Spike by turning him into a pony. Everything else, who knows.
I also could see him trying to trick Twilight into casting him with an age spell.
They did that one in The Cutie Pox. I’m thinking an Age spell like Trixie used in Magic Duel. Twilight Sparkle said on the the most powerful unicorns knew that spell though, which probably means only Celestia or Luna. I can’t quite picture either of them granting Spike a wish like that.
