People that are friends and family kiss in greeting, not randomly after they’ve been sitting next to you a while.  
At the very least Luna is being flirty, even if she doesn’t want a relationship or ‘other things’ at this point.

Personally,I see it as friendship,but I won’t blame shippers if they used it as shipping fuel.

Why did she do this again? I find it a bit hard to believe that there was any real-deal shipping between these two in the comic.

Based on the comics, I’m assuming Mac is gay.

After fans have paired him with every pony (mare or stallion) in Equestria, he finally gets his own “canon” harem of Cheerilee, Fleetfoot, Sweetcream Scoops, Tealove, and Luna.

And then BigMac realized he’s the luckiest stallion.
 
And then he realizes he’s just another concubine in a greater harem.

After years of being forced into shipping with Fluttershy by the masses.

As much as I’ve been fist pumping and cheering about this, I still got to ask: what the heck do you guys mean, “It’s canon now!”? You mean as far as the comic universe is concerned? The relation to the show only goes as far as to making sure none of these stories overlap with stories in the tv show.
 
Other than that, the limits on what they can’t add in are miniscule compared to the show. That’s why we’re able to get all these neat pop culture references they like (they’re fans of FiM too, of course). They can get away with stuff like this that you’d be hard-pressed to get in the show.
 
Sure, I like it and all, and the fact that it’s all in here at all is enough to say that it could happen, but it just seems weird to me to see so many “It’s canon!” comments like it’s now automatically canon to the animated series.
 
P.S. I’m not hating on the comic, shipping, etc. I have at least a dozen of the physical comics, and will be happily picking this one up A.S.A.P.
