I demand to see a martian being jackass to the ponies, burning Rarity’s dresses or something.
I was looking at an article in HorrorHound about the Mars Attacks legacy, and they showed all the covers of the martians attacking other IDW franchises, and that’s the same thing I thought - “They NEED to do a “Mars Attacks MLP.”
That could be potentially awesome and hilarious.
Yeah, the aim is allow some more screentime (for a comic, that is) that lets them play a bit with the BG ponies as well. It’s hard to write entire 32pgrs for characters that have all but a few lines through 3 seasons, and a complete slice of life arc (the Big Mac one) is something you really can only do once.
Seriously WHY HAVE THEY NOT INVADED!?
As a reminder/cautionary note: the comic out next week, the MLP Annual #1, is EQG (but includes the Sunset Shimmer 8pger that was exclusive to issue #9 released at SDCC).
However, the way that Curnow has been hinting at this series, it sounds like it strictly sticking to ponies, with shorter stories of various length.
