Mainly, it was a reference to >>698956, but Cheerilee is one of those rare ponies who has telekinesis that is psychic, rather than purely magical, in nature, and thus can lift herself. It’s not an ability she uses often, for fear of catching the eyes of the Ponies in Black.
Hah, Cheerilee can’t fly either! Either way if Princess Celestia is a illusion with some other pony pretending to be her, it will always a pony who can’t fly/magic, as they would be the one others wouldn’t suspect!
Let’s try this again: Celestia can fly, ergo Scootaloo can’t be her.
Besides, we all know Celestia’s really Cheerilee. :P
I would love to believe that Scootaloo can fly, or at the very least her ‘techno horn’ allows her to do so.
But since she is impersonating Princess Celestia, she needs plausible reasons to not be pretending to be a Princess. Such as lacking a unicorn horn and a supposed lack of flying ability. :P
But Celestia can fly!
Celestia really doesn’t exist, and is being impersonated with a plywood cutout by Scootaloo wearing a fake horn.
Your observation on Rainbow Dash’s idiocy is interesting, however, and may be worth expanding in to a separate paper.
