But I’m not going to argue with you. On the contrary, you (and CronoM and some others) have convinced me that this has long been just another poorly-written little-girl show, so I no longer have to worry about trying to catch the episodes or following the fandom. Thanks.

Believe me, there ARE some people who end up misinterpreting things and seeing “flaws” that aren’t actually there because they’re so determined to hate on something. I don’t think you’re actually one of them, but the first comment you left here didn’t exactly help your case. Mr. Rye probably only saw your first comment and didn’t bother to read your later ones where you clarified your points. Considering that he definitely replied to my reply to your first comment…
 
To be honest, I think you are misinterpreting things a bit, but I at least understand WHY you came to those conclusions, and it’s definitely not as crazy as some of the other arguments I’ve seen about it. And believe me, I have seen some VERY crazy arguments against the whole idea.

Way to make yourself uncredible right off the bat. Everything you said was just your opinion and stating it as fact. What I did was simply state what was scene showed and what was not shown, and interpret why she said/did the things she said/did. That doesn’t make my word fact, but apparently your word DOES count as fact.
 
Good to know, now EVERYONE will know what James Rye thinks is what is true.
 
Didn’t I already say that Twilight HAS humility on an unsubtle level? Did she not prioritize her homework over the lives of thousands until the very last second of Crystal Empire part 2, and brainwash the town for her own needs in Lesson Zero? If there was no letter in it, then why did Celestia even ask if it was something important? The writers never told us it didn’t have a letter, you guys are taking a huge assumption and stating it as absolute fact.
 
A letter from Pinkie Pie would usually contain confetti and a letter.
 
Unless I’m mistaken, that isn’t a big assumption at all.
 
Regardless, it would be beneath me to continue a dialogue with people who just want to shout ‘JOY-KILLER and OVERANALYSIS’ at people who, JUST LIKE I SAID THEY WOULD DO, dare to damage their views at all.
 
It would be meaningless and would only fuel more hate you people seem to be full of. Can’t one just casually and calmly point out the pros and cons of an episode?
 
Complaining about over overanlysis over basic scenes is complaining about analysis and quality in general. i.e. who cares about analysis or quality?
 
I do. I do care about quality, and I’m proud of it.
 
Its sad to see so many people want to pick and gang up on people just because they calmly point flaws. :(

As for BP’s “Twi takes herself for somepony more important than anypony else due Celly’s treatment” rant:
 
If Twi truly thinks she’s better than anypony then why didn’t she protested and ignored her friends plea for her to go back to safety? if she’s so much better they will need her after all. But she didn’t stayed she followed her friends advise and went home where Discord made fun of her and paint a future where her friends will stop treating her as a friend and continue to treat her as a princess, keeping her out of danger and away from them.
 
Also if Twi believes she’s so much better than other ponies why is she unsure how her new title and body? Shouldn’t she be smug and happy about it, after all given BP’s rant she thinks she “deserves it”.
 
If Twi honestly has some thoughts deep inside her that she’s so much better why does she still have her panic and nervousity attacks, her moments of uncertainy or moments of weakness where she is missing others or afraid that she’s not up to the task and so on? She shouldn’t feel all that because she obviously is “best pony for the job”.
 
All that in those two episodes just showed us that Twi doesn’t think of herself as anypony better just because she got a title and new wings or has the element of Magic as her element of harmony.
 
If anything then Twi is downplaying herself and showed to do so in the past, but whatever, given BP all those moments where Twi was modest and tried to not get too much attention to her feats never happened and nor did there in the S4 premiere.

There never was any note in the letter, only a confetti explosion device to cheer Twi up as Pinkie’s Pinkie sense knew Twi needed a good cheer up at 8 o’clock so she had sent the letter ahead just like she had done at the railstation.  
So no letter destroying, just a Twi-hater making stuff up to convince others that he’s the “smart and always right” fan and apparently can’t even watch a single 22 minutes episode correctly.
 
It’s like the people who say Twi will from now live in Canterlot just cause they can’t listen to the show saying over 6 times that Twi will NOT live in Canterlot but STILL lives in Ponyville.
 
When she teleported she only changed location but speed and out of control remainded the same so she crashed. Spike had arguably a lesser crash given his “thud” to Twi’s “CUGAUDGJHDGODHJDGUFIGZGSHSGKSAO” when she got buried by books.
 
And what got under Twi’s skin wasn’t Discord taunts about her taking herself more important/better than others, but that her friends would bond and continue to bond without her. In other words what got Twi to run back into the forest wasn’t the taunting about her princesshood but about her friends no longer wanting to have her on their adventures.  
Really just look at it again and you’ll see that this was the last Discord talked about and what made Twi run back.
 
What episode were you watching? Clearly not “Princess Twilight Part 1 and Part 2”.

I don’t know how you came to those conclusions, but I’ll just politely remind you what actually happened.
 
Only the top of Pinkie’s letter exploded with pressurized confetti, but instead of reading the note inside, Twilight either destroyed it or teleported it out of sight.
 
If Twilight had teleported them both in, Twilight would of crashed but and Spike might have bounced off of Twilight several feet but they both would of been safely inside. By teleporting without Spike, Spike went into a complete headlong collision at high speed with the tree house.
 
Twilight initially refused Discord’s claim, I agree, but after he convinced her to go back, instead of saying ‘Discord maybe wrong but I still have to back to my friends’, she fully admitted that Discord’s words got under her skin.
 
That last part is a GOOD thing for Twi. As a Twilight Sparkle fan, I’m glad to see her getting character development based on ‘subtle’ humility. She only knew about unsubtle humility from Trixie and RD’s old mistakes.
 
Consciously she doesn’t believe it, but Twilight acknowledging the world doesn’t revolve around her subconsciously will be the toughest challenge she’ll ever encounter, mostly because its something Celestia and too many of her friends encourage.
 
I eagerly await the day Twilight lives for herself, not just for Celestia. This episode was sort of a godsend since it allowed Discord to plant those moral seeds of doubt in her blind faith.
 
When she finally lives for herself, she will be one of the most strongest willed characters in the show :)

Welp, that didn’t take long.

In other words, its best we treat Bronies on both sides of the argument with open-minds with respect. In my experiance, a lot of people were chased off the site after Magical Mystery Cure because that never happened. People with bad reviews were instantly judged as haters.
 
It was a fucked up situation that needs to be remedied. That’s okay with everyone right?

What I said far earlier was a bit rude, it was supposed to only apply to people who didn’t want to hear ANYTHING negative about Princcess Twilight and would shun those Bronies for that.
 
I mean, most bronies would still give a thought to Twilight’s flaws. Whether they agree its significant or not is their own opinion, y’know? The die-hard Twilicorn fans don’t even want to think or hear anything about it, and will constantly bash them. The dumbass anti-twilicorn fans would think nothing good came from this episode…which is bullshit.
