Poked about for the origin of this post, as I have with the other similarly styled comics I’ve found, and managed to dig it up. Here’s the original thread/post in the moe archives: https://archive.moe/mlp/thread/6520237/#6520857
Lyra and Bonbon don’t really have much in the way of character, so many people are free to write them as they wish. I’ve seen stories where they are roommates, childhood friends, acquaintances, and/or even sisters.
I don’t really see Bonbon as hating everyone in Ponyville, (maybe she’s just bitter about something, bad news can do that to people, and is just letting her frustrations known), but this is a nice little comic/story, showing that even the saltiest of curmudgeons can have something to care about.
I hate living in Ponyville.
I hate all of my stupid neighbors.
I hate the mail mare for losing my shit. (Sorry…)
I hate the nerd who lives in the tree next door. (Hi Bon Bon.)
I hate the Apples, …and the Cakes.
My dreams of having my own candy store… crushed by their stranglehold on the market.
I hate my shitty job hauling trash for the city, and I hate that cheapskate Mayor.
I hate this crackerbox house.
I hate how lazy my girlfriend is.
I hate how she always tells me to cheer up because “Everything will be all aces tomorrow!” or some equally insipid shit.
I hate how she squanders her musical talent. (Hee-!)
And I hate how she wastes her time on this Anthropology crap (ITT:Waifus.) (Lyra is best pony!)
(Scoot. Scoot.) I hate how she creeps into bed late at night after her “research” and snuggles up against me.
I hate how she kisses my ear and tells me how much she loves me before drifting off to sleep.
I hate how I can’t sleep until her body is pressed up to mine.
I hate how much I missed her, all damn day.
But it’s okay.
Because everything will be all aces tomorrow.
And should that disappear here’s a cap: http://puu.sh/eEPkJ.png
