Typically, big cats don’t attack humans, but that’s more because we live together in large groups and are higher on the food chain. There have been some famous accounts of man-eating cats terrorizing small villages in places like Africa. From what I understand, it usually only happens when the cat is forced to turn to other prey because of drought or famine, and they then develop a taste for human meat that is usually pretty easy to get. As long as you find a human that’s alone, they won’t put up much of a fight and usually aren’t armed.

Crocodiles almost certainly have very little sense of taste, so it’s no surprise that it’s not much of a deterrent as opposed to our size.  
Large cats I’m less sure of, but I’m pretty sure they only attack humans when they’re desperate anyway.

Actually, most predatory animals find human meat repulsive.  
It’s the reason so many shark attacks end after one bite; the shark can’t stomach human flesh.  
But hey, maybe Rarity knows a good recipe?
