More pointless shit I felt like making. Yes, the astronauts really have those retarded names. Yes, it’s written ‘OBEY’. Yes, those CAN be references because while Black Ops came out in November 2010, the map came out in August 2011 or so. But I highly doubt it, and don’t care at all.

I know what you mean, man. We need to drop the realism bullshit unless it’s part of the game’s experience itself. Like in survival horror. But the big companies of the industry think that EVERY game needs to have it now.
The same seems to be happening with Rockstar. Before, they used to put out some really fun games and realism be damned. Now it’s all they want to do with their games but they don’t realise that they’re applying it to games that realism would hinder (like Max Payne and GTA)
See, Activision USED to care about the quality of the series untilthey noticed the huge fandom of 10-year-olds that would force their parents to waste $60 to get a sequel to a game that came out only a few months before the last. That’s when the quality dropped. Only a few people with brains remained after Activision announced Black Ops. With their numbers dwindling, the humans trapped at Activision decided to put some gold into the oncoming shitstorm: the Nazi Zombies reboot, with some ACTUALLY GOOD DLC. When the game was released, and Modern Warfare 3 was announced not too later, the last remaining humans did all they could to put some good quality into what remained of a good series. To their credit, it did somewhat well, but then Activision got suspicious. “Wait, I don’t remember putting GOOD stuff in our games…” said Activision who were too far gone to remember when the series was good. And thus, the survivors of the age of Good Call of Duty where overwhelmed by the complete shitheap of DLC driven multiplayer and boring-ass story missions. The age of God-Awful Call of Duty had begun. Legend has it, that some of the survivors are still alive with fully functional brains; posing as an average dimwit at Activision’s disposal. They pretend to relish every moment they spend copy-pasting one thing from the previous game to the latest, praying for a miracle that would let them be free of the money-driven chains, and free to be creative with their games. A miracle which seems…impossible.
Tell that last bit to Activision and watch how many employees laugh at you. I wish it was about the story but every bit of DLC released for this franchise says otherwise.
I can see what what you mean, but I really enjoy the game’s story as much as it’s prequel. I really don’t play the multiplayer because each game has the same multiplayer, just with re-colored weapons. The story is where the game’s cleverness lies. It transitions from the first game to the second well while also providing a new one with the first one’s remaining characters. It’s not about it’s multiplayer, it’s about it’s story.
Honestly, I feel as though MW2 was when it really started to go bad because that was the game that pretty much sent a message to all shooter developers that said “Who gives a shit about fairness and balance anymore? Overpower that shotgun and sniper.”.
I too feel this hatred.
Pure hatred
Christ, it’s been a while. Never played this map, though.
