The End wasn't The End - Found a new home after the great exodus of 2012

I should’ve been more clear.
I meant reoccurring flaws.
Lesson Zero brought up one thing that I don’t remember her ever being worked up about before.

I guess that was rather ignorant to see that, but I don’t really think she has any visible flaws that are permanent.
She’s smart, friendly, open-minded, powerful with magic, a student under her ruler directly, is not that bad looking for a pony, and her nerdier features are more endearing than anything.
If anyone can bring up flaws, I’m all ears.

The difference between Batman and a Mary Sue is that Batman has problems and faults, and gets his ass kicked every once in a while.
Background Pony #9B79
That a character has good traits or is made up to be interesting doesn’t mean it’s bad. It reminds me of this fragment of an essay:

“So, there’s this girl. She’s tragically orphaned and richer than anyone on the planet. Every guy she meets falls in love with her, but in between torrid romances she rejects them all because she dedicated to what is Pure and Good. She has genius level intellect, Olympic-athelete level athletic ability and incredible good looks. She is consumed by terrible angst, but this only makes guys want her more. She has no superhuman abilities, yet she is more competent than her superhuman friends and defeats superhumans with ease. She has unshakably loyal friends and allies, despite the fact she treats them pretty badly. They fear and respect her, and defer to her orders. Everyone is obsessed with her, even her enemies are attracted to her. She can plan ahead for anything and she’s generally right with any conclusion she makes. People who defy her are inevitably wrong.

God, what a Mary Sue.

I just described Batman.”

Edward’s problem it’s just terrible writing.

I dunno, i´ve seen enough of the show to know that Twi is strong and intelligent, but she got lots of faults, made mistakes and had to learn quite alot to grow as character.

She was more of a Kuudere than a Mary Sue at the beginning. More Kuu, then dere.

Personally I hate the term Mary Sue. It makes it so people are afraid of giving characters certain traits. That and it’s thrown around way too much.

As for the picture, eh the Ebony Raven Way (whatever her name is)chick is worse. Oh so much worse.
