That paper was made using ancient blood rituals where they sacrifice one hundred Mahogany Treants to make just one flimsy and unfinished page. Then, they would take the heart of an alicorn (or one of each tribe cause alicorns are so rare) and pour it’s blood onto the paper, letting it absorb all that raw magic and press it with a mountain the size of an island. And to finish it, the would cast it of into the Sun, where its temperature would harden the paper, making it flexible and harder than the most hardest of metals in existence.
 
In short, it’s really rare. Very expensive.
