Ain’t that how it always goes. Now only the hardcore srsbsns types are the ones left!  
The best thing is how they keep trying to twist canon to make it so the NLR is still an in-universe possibility, such as Chrysalis being Luna’s partner, and now they’re saying the ‘pony of shadows’ will turn out to be a lost piece of NMM that will take over Luna again.

To be perfectly honest, though, I think the NLR buzz kinda died down after Luna Eclipsed. After that point, she was too effectual of a character (and much too powerful of a personality) to be someone’s “woobie waifu” anymore, so a load of people who claimed to be Luna fans for just that reason gave up on her.
 
One of the reasons I actually like new Luna better than old.

Wanna know what would make it even better? Start an asinine war with the object of killing the person responsible for making it so great in the first place. Then, we foist her heartbroken sister on the throne, and call it a republic to appease my crippling fear of foreign cultures!

Pistol is an XD, real ones never issued to any military unit. Airsoft ones used by those who think “Ooohh, that Glock has a nice body kit”
 
PS rifle mags are highcaps so he has 900 rounds if he can find his longarm again…

@Background Pony #AD77 lololol it really is. It’s super-popular with both milfags and paramilfags now. It’s like the dumping ground for all the /k/ommandos regular bronies and /mlp/ don’t care for. Their FB group is always posting military unit/rank patches.

Remember when the NLR was cool, and unironically though Celestia was a tyrannical uber-troll? Ah the good ol’- I take that back, that was a massive circlejerk period, and I’m glad the fandom (except these guys, apparently) realized how stupid the idea was.
