Corrupted by the essence of love, yeah that’d be cool. But I’m unsure how she’d randomly spew out hundreds of thousands of tiny baby love-suckers out of nowhere. My headcannon on changelings is that they fed of an alternative food source until they came in contact with the addictive and powerful qualities of love. It enhanced magic power, reflexes, ect. Like a performance drug. And seeing as how they have vampiric fangs. They originally were like the very first vampires in the outlands of Equestria seeing as how they are still very Equine. But, thats just my opinion.

If you’re talking about the one from the Love Potion book. No. That was an Alicorn. And designed way differently than Cadance. Also, I don’t think that was her. Because as mentioned before, she kinda grew up with Twilight and Shining Armor. Its hard to do that if you’ve been alive for a century or two before them.

It’s like they’re doing this on PURPOSE.
