^ I agree - I ship this, but I don’t think their breakup is the reason why Discord went nuts and fucked shit up. I think it was because he simply went insane, and then Celestia left him, and he didn’t give a shit, and then Equestria got worse, and then the whole Elements of Harmony got into play, that’s all.

I like Discord best when he’s being a dick because he finds it amusing, not because of some deep-seated grudge, he’s just not as entertaining if he’s doing something out of hate rather than amusement.

This is why I dislike this ship, it implies that Discord’s takeover of Equestria wasn’t because he was a dickhead who just liked to see the world burn, but rather a scorned lover who had an overreaction. This damages both characters, because Discord becomes less of a fun-loving trickster who just wants to enjoy live at it’s fullest into a whiny little emo who can’t take rejection, and Celestia is often portrayed as a heartless bitch because she violently (and ALWAYS violently) rejected his advances, oh if only she were more understanding and accepted Discord and sucked his cock and seriously fuck that noise.

In my opinion (mainly because I´m the guy who requested the picture) Discord never really initiated a relationship with Celestia, since he mentioned that he never had friend before and I consider a lover as sort of a friend. What I think that happened is that Discord declared his love for her, but she scared and rejected him. Discord then went crazy and took over Equestria after seeing that the only pony he had loved acted as everyone else towards him. In this way it´s both of them´s fault: If Celestia had been more gentle towards him he wouldn´t have become who he is, but his reaction was as well unappropriated, to say the least.

Yeah, I really don’t see Celestia breaking Discord’s heart. If they had a relationship, it was probably Discord who broke her heart when he took over Equestria.
