Author here, sorry it took me so long to find your comment.
 
Actually ironic because when designing Mothra, my co-creator and I had the discussion of how to make her a changeling and not look demented. Then we got the idea of  
“Well in this universe, turning evil makes you ugly/monsterous; so how would Chrysalis back when she might have been nice?”

Crossover stuff aside, this looks like a good interpretation of “pre-corruption” Changelings (sometimes posited to be Flutterponies).
