Error in Heights, Celestia is a Horse and therefore measures 2 Meters, Discord is a Mythological Being that measures more than 2.6 Meters, Twilight Sparkle Measures 1.4 Meters Tall
@RandomBlank_bot
Twilicorn is barely an inch taller than other mares, but I don’t know how tall Fleur is. From what I remember, I’d say about the same height as Cadance, but then being scrawny makes her look taller than she probably is.
@Agent Tasmania
The candy cane is a lie, it’s bent and the offscreen fillies aren’t standing up normally. For any height references, see the mug shot screencap from 4x12, which makes this chart more or less accurate (the fillies are definitely NOT anywhere near 3 feet, and I doubt even Twilicorn’s horn reaches 4 feet).
I think the Sweetie and Twi here are about 15-25cm too short.
By comparison to the ‘8-foot [244cm] candy cane’ in Hearth’s Warming Eve the filly looked about 2.5-3 (~75-90cm) feet at the crown of the head, standing normally which would have normal mares about 4 (~120cm).
@Background Pony #FE07
Discord is too small on this pic, but then as mentioned before, his size isn’t consistent and he’s impossible to properly measure as he’s always bent in some way.
8 feet sounds about right without the horns, which makes him roughly 1 3/4 feet taller.
No, if the graph is accurate (ie, Discord is 2.25 meters) then the difference is about a foot. 1.93 m is 76 in (6 ft 4); 2.25 m is 88 in (7 ft 6), so Discord would be just about a foot taller than JDL.
That being said, the graph has Discord all bent up like a bendy straw, so yeah, if he actually stood up straight he might clock in around 8 or 9 feet, which is about where I thought he ought to be. But that’s just because the graph isn’t accurate, due to Discord being bent backwards. 2.25 m is not 2 feet taller than 1.93 m.
Its important to point out that there size will change from scene to scene. Its just a side effect to the animators needing to work at a timely pace. Even then they’ll make height changes based on whats scene appropriate and who needs to looks intimidating/small etc.
Assuming that the average ponies really are just 3 feet tall, this is pretty reasonable, but I always kind of assumed the average pony (ie, Twilight) is closer to 4 or 5 feet tall, from looking at them in comparison to things like bears and bunnies. Discord is reasonably consistently shown to be a little bit more than twice Twilight’s height; he changes at whim, but most of the time that’s where he clocks in, so if Twilight’s really one meter then Discord being a bit taller than two meters would make sense. (On the other hand, something about the notion of him being only slightly taller than John de Lancie, who is just short of 2 meters, is bugging the crap out of me, so I think I’m gonna go with my “ponies are taller than this in the first place” idea. :-))
@Chrysalislover
Yep, she’s a tiny bit taller, maybe an inch.
@Kappe
They are, they’re both roughly the size of larger stallions like Mac, and Shiny.
And yeah the imperial system is alright for measuring human-sized stuff, but when you have small or large value, or need to convert, the ‘arbitrary rollercoaster’ has nothing on the logic of the metric system.
Are Cadance and Luna really that much smaller than Celestia?
Other than that this looks pretty good. Although, I think the Imperial system is quite okay.
@Align
Honestly I’m not sure. Not only as you said, his size isn’t consistent, but his body and neck are always kinda bent in some way, so it’s almost impossible to gauge his size, though I’d estimate him to be around 8 feet, 9 with the horns. Probably close to 15 counting the tail.
@Ventig
imho no
if I recall the episode when Discord become good guy he was muuuuuuuuuch taller then Celestia and here he is like lol… no to mention Chrys size
@Ventig
I kinda messed up in the pic (she’s not standing upright and she’s bowing her head) but in terms of height, yes, she’s roughly the size of an average human woman (1.65m or so, 5’5”). Her horn itself is nearly two feet long.
@Background Pony #E9B6
I compared with several screencaps from Luna Eclipsed, she’s actually shorter than Big Mac (without the horn obviously), so I don’t think she should be much larger than she is. I’m pretty sure NMM is slightly smaller than Celestia too (haven’t verified that one).
@PonyPon
no wai man he is smaller then Luna
and Luna should be bigger a bit or Celestia and Chrysalis smaller
also there should be added NMM between Celestia and Chrysalis

As tall as he needs to be.

Apparently the average mare is three and a half.
John de Lancie is only 1.93m according to Google, so Discord standing upright has at least 2 feet on him.
Yep, she’s a tiny bit taller, maybe an inch.

Nope. Just guessing.
