Especially in training hot spots like the Lion Heart Castle. Hackers have exploited the Pink Bean familiar, which was ridiculously powerful, along with the invincibility hack, to hog maps. Some people started paying the hackers to party with them so they could get ill earned fast levels. Without even having to move a muscle, or pixel in this case. They could just sit in place while the hacked Pink Bean familiar does all the work.  
It was bullshit for those who wish to enjoy the game as it was meant to be. It BROKE the game!

When it comes to video games, especially MMO’s, one thing I always find myself obsessed with was minions (when it wasn’t shape shifting and eating my enemies), and this game certainly never scratched that itch until, to my delight, Familiar Cards were added to the already much-appreciated monster book.

Y’know… One thing I never liked about Maplestory was how you were expected to flat out kill monsters despite how cute they often looked. Especially early on. The only reason I went through with it was to clear the quests and befriend adorable familiars who would travel by my side. I still feel really guilty about it though.
 
It would be so awesome if instead of fighting, you could just hang out with the monsters like this…

Mushmom has been….. downgraded. I think she is only lvl 30 now, worthless drops. Plus, ever since Wolf Spiders and other sources of drops were introduced, Ilbis are worthless now. I can get several set of Ilbis for less than 100k now, no kidding! There are many better stars now. Heck, Assassins are nothing now after several revamps and new classes eclipsed them.
 
Reaching lvl 120 is nothing now. They’ve decreased the experience requirement for every level since the Big Bang update. Equip and potion drops are more common now. Potions are far cheaper now.
 
Remember the time when even trying to reach lvl 30-40 was a struggle?

Remember the time when people camped here all day and night just to hunt down Mushmom? She was at one time, the only monster to drop the then most powerful throwing stars, Ilbis.
 
Props to the artist for this awesome interpretation. You have no idea how much I’m fan and nostalgia gasming right now.
 
Henesys, is like the Ponyville of Maplestory. It is a large rural town where many activities are centered in the game. If this is going to be a series, I just hope the artist does Ellinia, Kerning City, Sleepywood, Perion, Lith Harbour, Ereve, Ariant, Leafre, Orbis, El Nath, Ludibrium, and Edelstein.
