To be fair, you shouldn’t really expect any privacy when you agree to air your dirty laundry on their national television programs.
That’s like dropping trow in the middle of a crowded store and being outraged people actually look at your privates.
Just because you’ve consented to be on the air doesn’t mean the assholes aren’t going to ambush you with hurtful questions like they did here.

This guy seems pretty well adjusted and could handle what they threw at him. But would this show do the same for a drug addict suffering withdrawls who may or may not be suffering from further problems? I certainly hope not because I can’t imagine “so you’re a freak and what you do is creepy welcome to national tv” to go over well with someone with a severe form of schizophrenia for instance.
How can this man call himself a medical professional? HOW?
‘murica, the same country that tries to sell you prescription drugs on tv that are supposed to treat (but not eliminate) a mild symptom of something and produce side effects much worse than the symptom itself, that’s how. The medical industry (and it is an industry, not a practice) in this country is as corrupt as it gets, it’s all about money.
I would love to go on that show and troll the hell out of them making myself sound even worse than what they try to make me out to be all while wearing a suit and speaking in a very sophisticated and formal tone.
People are interested in odd behavior and they know people will watch stuff like this.
I agree with the hurtful questions though, there was no call for that.
He is well spoken and thankfully stands up for himself but isn’t ever rude or unpleasant.
So this “‘Dr.’ Drew” guy apparently deals with addictions? So they have this brony come onto the show because they present it like “look at this guy, he’s weird there’s something wrong and it’s likely a mental illness”, and the first thing they do is call him creepy and accuse him of being a basement dweller…
For the sake of argument lets say the brony guy does have legitimate issues, how is throwing hurtful questions at him on national tv in the form of a news interview going to help at all? I know everyone here consented to be on the air but should this really be on the air? Does every problem have to have a drama filled reality show component? This can’t be healthy.

Maybe if these folks had the benefit of a real doctor who actually cares about helping people rather than a media star who wants to exploit people for personal profit a few of those people would still be alive or even thriving.
But no, they’re dead because he cares much more about profits and name branding himself rather than actual human lives.
