I hope they make him interesting. Usually I hate the ‘let’s make evil versions of the good characters’ stories, since they tend to give them all interchangable cardboard personalities, like the Negaverse Darkwing Duck episode, or the first episode featuring the Rowdyruff boys.

Sombra’s mentioned in at least 2 of the next 3 issue synopses. He’s coming back, though may not be all RAR CRYSTALS version of him.

The IDW comics look like such a perfect venure for our beloved despot to make a return, but I really don’t think this is gonna be it.

i don’t think they will bother to explain why they are the oppostive, hell, they didn’t bother to explain by the syndicate of evil was evil other than “they are mirror versions”.

so we are not entirely sure what is going on yet. though there is speculation that this sombra is a sombra who took a different path than the one we know. maybe soemthing along the lines of him not falling into evulz and becoming a monster. yet something happened to the regal sisters of his realm and they fell and became dark.
 
maybe they will expand on HOW sombra became what he was. that would be itnersting if the give the reason how and why.  
an alt universe done right is moer than simply this guy is bad or this guy became that instead. it is that someone took a step to the left rather than a step to the right.
