Yup, it can also be meant as “Wearing the Wear” which is said as “Kiru ra Kiru” in japanese.
 
But the point of the main character wanting to avenge the person who assassinated her father still stands.
 
The point of a great show needing happy endings for everyone still stands.

lol, the name ist just play on japanese words though. title is just rule of cool

Actually if it’s called Kill the Kill and not Nekkid the Nekkid, at least someone needs to be killed after having killed someone else or whatever!
 
And the main character’s motivation was specifically to “avenge who killed my father” and this is why she has the half-scissor!

its not as silly as it sounds, as the anime progreses a lot of stuff gets explained and the sillier stuff ends up making sense(sci-fy stuff aside) like the reason of the nazi-like school-system.
 
~~the “elite four” name is indeed a reference to pokemon. the show has a lot of references  
-she isnt looking for promotions  
~~“has to survive and battle these E4” not at fisrt. and they all use diferent weapons  
~~“are more important in stuff like local politics and semi-mafia” actualy, the school council is the literal head of the entire city.  
-the uniform is fully sentient, a cool dude too.  
-nobody gets killed, just naked. there are few close calls though.  
-as far as i know, they arent called nothing in specific. they are just the club leaders.

I did not know that she was from Kill la Kill, but i might have seen her in passing. What i know is that it’s about a dark-haired girl that transfers to a new school where the council president has four subordinates called the Elite Four (no relation to Pokèmon’s E4) and to be promoted, this new transfer student (whose dad was killed by the council president’s dad and\or school founder, and this is her reason for moving) has to survive and battle these E4, (which actually use swords and are more important in stuff like local politics and semi-mafia than Pokemon’s) so she ends up putting on a semi-sentient magical sailor outfit, and has to battle and kill her seniors, or at least the subordinates of the E4 themselves.Perhaps to not get on a lawsuit with Pokèmon, these people are way more than 8 (in fact it’s half the whole school and almost one each episode) and not called Gym Leaders but something like Chuubi or Vampire or some japanesey word. Of course as she’s the good gal, she manages to defeats all the Chuubis, then the E4, and finally defeats the school council president, and becomes the new one. And i guess she also manages to revive her father. Everyone deserves a good ending! Did you know Nyssa has the kiss of life, and so, she revives Adric?

Mako is the main character’s best friend, comical sidekick and probably one of the best characters of the show.  
She’s not in the Elite Four student council at all, she’s pretty much at the bottom of the student hierarchy and thus, condemned to live in the most absolute poverty, thing she doesn’t really mind, being the free sould she is.
