I sometimes practiced getting myself into a mindset similar to this (basically with self-hypnosis techniques) when I was studying French in Southern France in 1999-2000 (after reading a book about speed learning (as one book called it)) back in the late 1990s. It only helps with learning basic vocabulary like what is shown above (or a little more complicated). Once you need to learn vocabulary and grammar beyond what a four or five-year-old would need to know this approach tends to be counterproductive. Also, while I did not take it as far as wearing diapers, there was some extra laundry involved, and so Fluttershy’s approach to language learning is not necessarily for everyone.

A word of caution: in French, ‘poulain’ means ‘foal’ while a ‘poulaine’ is a medieval shoe (also named crakow in English).
