@Mad Black You also have to pay late fees. Which NEVER go away. I STILL can’t check out books without having to pay the late fees my brother accrued on my library card from almost a decade ago.

Well there are libraries where you have to pay yearly fees, and something like that. But I never heard of a fee for every book. I paid fees for book they didn’t have and I had to order elsewhere, but that was more like a service fee.
