I just got a chance to see it and it was pretty hilarious. There are some pokes towards the fandom but to me it’s clear that the staff did their homework not painting bronies in broad strokes.

With the divide between normal fans(tm) and cloppers as strong as ever, it’d be hilariously meta if they wind-up being creeped-out by her.
 
As obsessed with butts as she is, I really wouldn’t be surprised if she’s one those fans who watches for the ‘plot’.

Where Bob’s Burgers differs from shows like Family Guy or South Park is that no character on the show is even close to perfect - they are all “weirdos” with their oddball character traits. The show thrives on the conflict between those traits rather than highlighting any specific trait as the centerpoint for comedy. So they make fun of everyone but because they do, they are never demeaning to any one character or group, save for designated antagonists.
 
Whereas say Family Guy, while the main characters are all strange in of themselves, they relish in calling out the oddities (eg how they present gay characters in a very stereotypical manner)

He might be right. I can definitely see, in this scenario, at least one person stepping up and saying “Dude, give the little girl her toy back. You’re making us ALL look bad.” And everybody in the crowd nods in agreement. Yeah, we’re weird, but it’s not like we aren’t human beings.

your optimism in the face of media precedent is truly inspiring. forgive me if my faith in mainstream entertainment is somewhat less than optimal. if the show depicts bronies as anything other than a spectrum of rat-faced man-children i will be pleasantly surprised.

i wish this was true…but the synopsis says one of the bronies scams her out of her rare pony toy…so yeah…

The way this shot is framed - where it looks like Tina’s having a serious discussion about the show or why the guys like the show - gives me confidence this is not going to be purposely “Bronies are creepy!”

Knowing Tina, she’ll be the one to creep out fans, not the Bronies Equesticals.

Does their version of my little pony have a sentai series mixed in?
