I think what bothers me the most about this is that the entire point of Applejack’s cutie mark story was that she didn’t want any of that. She wanted a simple life. So many that apply angst to her over the fact that she’s a “simple farmer” just don’t understand why anyone wouldn’t want to become famous.
She’s also charismatic and was the leader of the mane six when it was the mane five, and don’t forget that they were and still are probably the most prominent ponies in Ponyville.
Kind of makes you wonder who the townspeople think are in charge of the mane six…
@CocoaNut
Well she is the descendant of the founders of Ponyville, and has saved the town a few times, along with being the head of one of the largest families in Equestria. So yeah, she’s like the people’s champion.
Maybe she’ll lead a populist rebellion against the monarchy? Why do I want that so badly?
The first is not entirely unlikely. The townspeople seem to place her in a “hero” kind of role. Just take The Last Roundup as an example. Rainbow Dash didn’t receive anything close to that send-off in Sonic Rainboom.
Well it’s true that Applejack has more legitimate reason for angst than the others. She spends almost every day of her life working and has for years, and also has to deal with the fact that when Granny Smith passes away, which could be at any moment, she’ll be put in charge of everything without anyone to guide her. And then there’s the whole dead parents thing.
And yet she’s usually pretty happy-go-lucky. Maybe it’s the endorphins from all the exercise.
Ponyvile seems to treat Applejack with a lot more respect than Twilight-
even given the latter’s title-.She’s also charismatic and was the leader of the mane six when it was the mane five, and don’t forget that they were and still are probably the most prominent ponies in Ponyville.

Also I don’t think I get Discord’s line, maybe some translators notes would help.

I completely agree.
I can see her becoming the mayor of Ponyvile or traveling to spread the family business.

“Wore and wore famous”
Bloody lol…
One note though: Pinkie and Fluttershy are going somewhere? Could have fooled me.
What a bad comic.
