@Nightweaver20xx Honestly I would rather they abduct fans to voice pre-existing ponies myself. It’s really kind of a bummer they aren’t doing things with these background ponies running around ponyville but creating wholesale new ponies. I mean I know TOYSUBERALLES and all but I think it would make it more interesting for seeing some in Ponyville discussing how they actually like Discord back in Three’s Company, and then when this episode rolls in we don’t just see this oc running a stall out of nowhere but moving in, because he’s a Discord fan too. Maybe have a running theme where not only are the personalities expanding and growing (for the most part) but also the town they inhabit too, as a result of their deeds and reputations, and also Fluttershy’s new houseguest, and Rarity’s increasing personal fame from her business.  
It takes very few steps to go from ‘random OC appears’ to ‘worldbuilding’ IMO and they’re missing a golden opportunity with exploiting this,especially to bring in card/toy only pones

I consider the matter closed. What’s done is done – I sympathize with this kid but still think it’s a bit much to allow sympathy alone to drive corporate decisions like this.

No no no. First all, in case you haven’t gotten the memo, The kid is totally cool with it. His mom overreacted thinking these images was hurting him when it wasn’t the case. You like many others who jump this particular bandwagon because of what his mom feels. If his mother never would have received those picture from whoever the asshole who did this; YOU and many other internet white knights wouldn’t have a problem with this. And if you happen to have a problem with fictional porn; you better start using the filters.

The kids in The Amazing World of Gumball are clearly playing roles. This character seems more of a representation of the person who created him, not just a role he’s being paid to play.
 
Not that, personally, I’m trying to convince anyone they shouldn’t make porn of him. In a fandom where porn of Lauren Faust’s and Sabrina Alberghetti’s OCs is applauded, I know better than to think I’ll change anyone’s mind. Just trying to get others to understand why some of us are personally wary of porn of Stellar Eclipse.

You know, the most disappointing thing about what you just said is that apparently treating a person with common decency like a good, or atleast decent person would, is now treating him like a special snowflake. It’s a shame that we live in a time where being a decent human being is now considered special treatment.

You know the funny thing about all it unnecessary bull? If no one knew that kid was the behind the making and voice acting of Stellar; no one wouldn’t be bitching and moaning about porn of a cartoon character. Just the same how the internet treats all fictional characters.
 
But thanks the advances of technology, somehow with the knowledge of who the person is behind a fictional character sudden becomes untouchable just because a 17 year old with a terminal disease is the face behind the character.
 
Reality check. All these character have real people with real feeling behind them. Hell there is porn of The Amazing World of Gumball. and real kids are the voices of behind those characters. But you don’t hear anyone defending them. So why must we treat him like a special snow flake when there are other dieing children with terminal diseases that are far wost than his?

what the hell is wrong with you? A very sick boy just wants to live his dream of having his character in the show, and you throw that back in his face and mock him? He’s JUST a kid. I’m sorry, but if you are actually encouraging making porn on this kids OC, and spoiling this kids one wish just because you don’t like the way he looks, than you are just a terrible person. He doesn’t needs to be treated as some sacred, holy item, but atleast showing a bit of respect would be appreciated.

The OC’s creator has a life-threatening disease and asked Make-A-Wish Foundation to have DHX put it in the show, and you think this is “real life political bullshit”?
 
The pony wasn’t even shoved in your face, it was on screen for a total of 1-2 minutes. Stop being so entitled.

Thank you! I’m all in favor for the Make A Wish foundation for granting this for him. But that doesn’t mean his pony deserve to be treated as some sacred holy item. His terminal disease is very unfortunate which I do sympathize. His OC still sucks. And since it’s part of the show; it fair game for the fans to do whatever to hell they want to do with it. Just like any other cartoon character.
 
So bring on the porn.

who the fuck is talking about political groups, really make a wish foundation doesnt have a fucking radical political agenda, they are a foundation that wants to let kids get an incredible experience so they dont feel sad about their disease, shit the fucking oc didint even to that much, it got like 3-4 lines max and had less than 2 mins of screen time, you are making a big deal out of nothing.

I already said this on EQD, but this was a poor move on DHX’s part. They should not be accomodating to demands from special interest groups like Make A Wish. Just make the show, don’t put people’s badly constructed OCs in them.

Imagine if this were a red-black alicorn or the OC from an infamous CanonxOC ship who got to be next to their partner. There could’ve been popcorn consuming of epic levels.

… oh, I see. You’re one of those people who thinks the princesses are completely useless, (Or atleast Celestia). Especially with the way you paraphrase what she said. Don’t you think she has seen enough from Twilight and her friends to have faith that they could reform him? It’s not like she was being completely unreasonable. Maybe a bit sudden, but she knew they could handle the task, and they did. It’s better than some forced, mind altering spell. Better to have him reformed now than taking over the world in another thousand years. Not to mention another lesson in friendship for the soon to be princess Twilight, which could have arguably been the intention all along.
 
Nevertheless, if they let discord run out in the open, and didn’t tell anyone he was being reformed, then there would be outrage. It’s like the president allowing dangerous criminals to just run around. You act like she’s completely incompetent when she’s not.

And you expect me to believe they would take responsibility to inform their subjects of Discords reformation when Celestia couldn’t, or simply wouldn’t take action of reforming Discord herself?
