Well, recent posts on the blog say Rarity only started acting like this recently, and the author specifically said he couldn’t explain Rarity’s behavior in his blog without spoilers… so it’s safe to say this is going somewhere.

You know what Scrub should have done? Make Rarity a Well Intention Extremist, not a Sadistic Bitch. Have her view nudism as a perversion, not just something that loses her money. Have her feel Sweetie Belle’s jailtime as unfortunate but necessary to teach her the rules and laws of society and the dangers of breaking them, not the funniest joke he’s ever heard in her entire life. Have her yell at us, the watchers for encouraging her sister into this “perverted lifestyle”, not for helping her sister and not comprehending why. If he’s going with the villain route, fine, but do something sympathize with her as well as disagree with her methods.

Yeah, even when Rarity was at her “worst” in the show, she never was this mean, selfish, nor would ever call her sister “idiotic.” (Which is “unlady-like” as far as she’s concerned.)

This is so grossly out of character that I can’t even conceive the possibility that this could ever be Rarity, even in fanworks. This is some strange Evil Mirror Bizarro Rarity to me.

Now I want to see Rarity’s “Panty” Sales “Figures”…

Kinda ironic given how Sweetie acted in “For Whom the Sweetie Belle Tolls.” That episode shows Sweetie can have a darker side to.
