Guys, there is a third bouquet of flowers between the two. One is for Celestia, second for Luna and third for Cadance. There would be no shitstorm with shipping if people noticed this earlier.

That’s good. Having a fellow Brony who noticed the color of the flower petals makes me feel better that there are some Bronies who are not all caught up in the shipping with Celestia and Discord.

Same here. Discord is already making amends and proving he is now a good guy completely, and offering flowers to Celestia is to seal the deal with the rulers themselves that he won’t turn to the Dark Side ever again.

Well it makes sense that the showrunners would say ‘yeah no we’re not gonna actually make something happen between a ~10 year old and ~20 year old of different species’ but in the actual show canon it’s been anything but squashed as a concept and rarity seems quite charmed by the idea. I still to this day don’t know how I really feel about it, though, I still keep expecting it to eventually become a lesson in how to get over it when things inevitably don’t go ideally with your first crush.
 
I still think the idea of Sweetie crushing on Spike while Spike is oblivious and crushes on her sister, but eventually figures it out and isn’t wholly opposed would be cuter, even if it was just a one-off episode thing…

Actually, the show’s writers have more or less stated that Sparity probably won’t go anywhere AT THE MOMENT. There wouldn’t necessarily be anything stopping it once Spike was a little older, but given how vague ages of characters are in this show, we’re probably never going to get true romance between them during the series’s run.

When/where was that about Sparity? I’ve kept up with every episode and watched most of them at least 2-3 times and as far as I’ve been able to tell Sparity has been, if anything, really weirdly bolstered throughout the show’s run. I actually find it much more plausible and less laughably unlikely than I did at the beginning of the series, and I don’t remember any point in which it’s been deflated except possibly showing Rarity crushing on someone else in the way Spike crushes on her, though that doesn’t mean she’ll never like her crushee.
 
And Archy dude, chill your jets. This was just a cute little gesture of Discord showing how much he at last truly does wish to befriend ponykind, offering flowers of peace and friendship to the leader of that race and one he’s personally antagonized over the ages but wants to start mending bridges with now. And even if it somehow, however wildly unlikely, leads to some shippy snippets here and there between the two (which I would personally love and find adorable and got a big kick out of this scene), I don’t think they’re gonna like get married or anything at any rate so it really shouldn’t affect anything.

DISLESTIA IS CANON YAY!
