I really must go and watch them all.

I haven’t watched G1 ponies past the first special, but Ahgg looks kinda cool.
 
But honestly, I think they should use the G1 material sparingly. Otherwise MLP could fall into the same trap as Transformers has of retreading ground too much.

Arabus, Lavan and Squirk?

A G4 version of the Smooze would be nice but the one character I would love to see in G4 is King Charlatan. A penguin that can shoot freezing rays out of his eyes and wants to freeze the whole world sounds pretty could. Grogar would be a little bit too similar to Tirek, both in his appearance and goals. Katrina would be great but I think they would’ve to change her motivation and remove everything drug-related. . But hopefully they aren’t going to recycle too many G1 villains, especially if they keep the Slice of Life formula that only allows for a small number of baddies each Season.

Grogar  
Catrina  
King Charlatan
 
These guys weren’t really evil, they just were kinda forced to do bad things, I’d like to see them back too

Sting (if he gets an overhaul on his appearance, but keep the “oldschool badass” theme intact)
 
 
Possibly Lavan and Crunch Rockdog, mainly for their powers though. Also, Lavan surfing on lava is one of the most over-the-top things I’ve seen.
 
Could have sworn I saw all the G1 episodes, but apparently I missed the Smooze episode somehow. Though, something that destroys a huge portion of the world is pretty cool.

Catryna could be a good one to choose from that pile…

hey now, I don’t care about G1 but tirek and scorpan have always been badass, Although I guess he didn’t do crazy dragon ball z crap back then though.

I love how G4 can take anything from G1 and make it 100x more badass.

We need to smooze back, dammit!  
Maybe Katrina too. I don’t know, could they do an episode nowadays about someone who’s basically a drug addict?
