Description
So I’ve had a few people ask how Squishy does it, so rather than answer I made this! This is how I do my pictures step by step, in case anyone is interested. As you can see, with no more than only the basic tools and some practice you can pone like no tomorrow!

Huh. So GIMP doesn’t do vectors after all. Stupid Bing >:/
The only one I’ve ever used with any real success is Fireworks, mostly because that’s what was on the laptop my husband gave me, and because it has excellent plugin and add-on support and is very user friendly. Illustrator and Photoshop were okay for me but I found them to basically just be Fireworks with less options, and in all honesty, I found Inkscape to be near useless. It was free, which was nice, but Firefox does everything it can do much better, faster, and has a ton of additional options. I’ve never tried Ponyscape and probably won’t if it’s a derivative of Inkscape.
When everything is said and done, Fireworks does amazing vectors which, coupled with it’s superb image editing options, makes it the best in my books. The only thing it doesn’t do very nicely is optimize GIF files.

I’ve tried that and just don’t like the results with it. This only looks complicated because I drew it out step-by-step. In reality this took me about an hour to an hour and a half, I think.
