An anonymous person wrote about how, in 1991, he was part of a conspiracy group that made rap songs more violent so that there’d be more people being sent to private prisons.
And not at all anything to do with most rap singers coming from the American ghettos, where violence, drugs, etc. are a lot more common.

And, like pop, the problem is that the genuinely good songs aren’t “mainstream” enough, so they don’t get played on radio unless they’re really really good.
Seriously, if you want some examples of good rap, do a Youtube search for Duane And Brando.
Seriously, my neighbor has that shit on the entire time.
In general, though… meh. More power to you, however, if you do like it.
Rap will always be frowned by people with half a brain and good music taste.
But you know what? If you like rap, good for you. People have different tastes, and I’m sure some people could say the exact same statement as above in regards to the music that I like. Just don’t get offended if I put on some headphones when someone starts up a 50 Cent album.
