from a wanabe artist point of view(as in me), colors dont matter that much in this type of art kevinsano does most of the time. just sayig.
 
ANIWAY, he is not special, he just asked, any artist can do that.  
now that i think about it… he is special, i mean, everytime he puts out a GREAT sketch/pic, there pop up like 10 diferent colored/cleaned versions by other people, half the time they are crappy as hell.
 
as for “artist:kevinsano edits” having “kevinsano” as well, it sort of defeats the purpose of the tag. but that will likely get implemented when the “complex tag/filter system” goes up though.
 
ALSO, you might want to word this better:  
“idk why Kev is so special that he needs to have 2 tags when other artists don’t bother with that”  
i dont thik it was your intent, but you sort of sound like an ass, just saying

dude, i watch the kevinsano tag, and i have filtered half of those edit artist, the literal half of those edits, are crap.

the problem is that it was like that previously (and this method is still used whole time for all art on derpiboru) but one day he randomly decided that he will make 2 tags on derpiboru so colored/cleaned/etc pictures won’t dishonor his stuff

and when someone (who isn’t fandom/derpiboru veteran) will look for colored versions of his pics he will find “BIG NOTHING” when he types standard “artist:kevinsano”
 
idk why Kev is so special that he needs to have 2 tags when other artists don’t bother with that (less chaos and confusion). Under most of colored/edited pictures there is information original picture and it’s creator + those pics usually have non-original artist source
 
imho all cleaned/colored/edited pics should have both “artist:kevinsano edits” + “artist:kevinsano”

it looks a little more like hoity-toity than luna with those colors.

recolors of kevinsno are to be taged “artist:kevinsanoedits”

I’m not big fan of chubby chubby anthros/humans (chubby ponies are funny) but I must say that she looks cute ^ _ ^
